I know white people really like pumpkin flavored things. As a white woman, I admit, sometimes the craze goes a little overboard. Here’s a simple, easy, and cheap recipe that combines all the things white people like (pumpkin, sriracha, hummus) but doesn’t taste like something only a basic chick in Ugg boots would eat. It’s just damn good.
What You’ll Need:
- 15 oz can garbanzo beans (aka chickpeas)
- 1 cup of pumpkin puree
- 2 tbs fresh lemon juice
- 1 tbs extra virgin olive oil
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 tbs cumin
- 1/2 tbs chili powder
- 1/4 tbs smoked paprika
- 3/4 tbs kosher salt
- 2 tbs sriracha
- 1/3 cup water
- Chips or veggies for serving
Let’s Get Cooking:
- In a blender or food processor add all of the ingredients except the water.
- Turn the blender or food processor on and slowly add in the water until the hummus becomes smooth and creamy.
- Serve the hummus immediately with pita chip or vegetables, or refrigerate until you are ready to use it. Lasts about a week in the fridge.
